Tone it Up

After producing a large number of cyanotypes I felt dissatisfied and wanting to do more with them. so from what I remembered from the workshop, I started researching ways to tone and edit cyanotypes creatively.

I use the bath just soak the pieces in warm water and then the green tea solution. I made a concentrated green tea mix by adding boiling water to some green tea bags in the biggest container I can find. and then added this to the bath and places and placed the cyanotypes in it for a minimum of 2 hours to tone.

I really liked what green tea does cyanotypes, it tones it to a dark eggplant/black colour and has a nice contrast when next to the Blue ones.
